Kettanak Trading, a member of EuroCham, has close ties to her sister company, the Mode Store, which markets international lifestyle brands in Cambodia. Based on Mode Store's experience, Kettanak Trading entity was created to expand the business scope. They combine their expertise in commercial brands, marketing, communication, and retail services, as well as international trade import and export.

 

Currently, recently Mode Store and Kettanak Trading have been merged into one entity under Kettanak Trading Name: https://www.kettanak.com My key responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Take on the leadership role.Make inventory purchase.

  2. Be the sales champion.

  3. Work with the CEO to formulate strategy and executional plan.

  4. Take active roles in crafting the marketing, sales and branding strategies.

  5. Overseeing the logistic and finance managers to create an inventory plan.

  6. Curate merchandise that will appeal to their customers.

  7. Travel extensively to meet up with the brand owners and secure deals.

  8. Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and all financial aspects.

  9. Promoting a good corporate citizen.

The Mode Store is an offshoot of Solidus Marketing. Mode Magazine was initially launched to provide an overview of fashion and lifestyle. Mode Store was later established as a sole proprietorship offering a complete fashion, lifestyle, and beauty boutique. Having merged with Solidus Marketing, Mode Store can then offer genuine products sourced across Europe, UK and the United States to consumers in Cambodia.

 

As the owner and CEO, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the business, including.

  1. Purchasing inventory.

  2. Setting prices. 

  3. Managing staff in multiple functions. 

  4. Creating a brand image of the store.

  5. Lead sales drive. 

  6. Traveling abroad to secure deals with brands owners. 

  7. Running sales via conventional and social channels.

  8. Set up the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for the team.

Founded in 2009, the company offered a range of integrated marketing services, including (1) Marketing Solutions (2) Brandings (3) Social/ Traditional Media Service, Content Creation, and Publications (4) Experiential Marketing and Events (5) Public Relations (PR).

 

In my capacity as General Manager/Media Director, I had a wide range of responsibilities in both management and leadership capacities with brief roles as follows.

  1. Business Development and Customer Relationship.

  2. Operations: where the focus is on the development of strategies, the planning, and the monitoring of progress. 

  3. Project Management: ensuring that the teams of different functions are performing in accordance with the project schedule.

  4. Financial management and cost analysis.

  5. Buying, negotiating, and closing media deals.

  6. Drive execution, monitoring, and team feedback. 

  7. Bottom-line responsibility.

  1. Manage and communicate with internal team to produce media master plans. 

  2. Coordinate with diverse clients to execute the media marketing campaign. 

  3. Liaison with Client Service team to deliver client briefs. 

  4. Working closely with different functions to articulate an integrated media advertising campaign that optimises high possible ROI.

  5. Liaison with admin and finance to process invoices and billings. 

  6. Envisage new business opportunities.

  7. Formulate proposals for pitching and new campaigns.
